The most important thing that you will need to determine before sports betting is the size of your bankroll. The size of your bankroll depends almost entirely on your personal financial situation and individual comfort level. You should set the size of your bankroll to something that you can afford to lose, and should ensure that your bankroll never includes funds that you would use to pay for bills or similar essential things.

After you’ve decided how much money you’re comfortable with dedicating to sports betting, the next decision that you need to make is your unit size. A unit, simply put, is a percentage of your bankroll that you have choose to place on any given wager.
